GBPVR and High Definition

I am attempting to put together a system to move video files from my PC to my HD television using GBPVR and MVP with about 40 feet of separation between the PC and the HDTV. I have been trying to configure those tuners that will handle both analog and HD. Yesterday I received the HVR 1600 to play with. However, yesterday I also read a quote by you that the GBPVR/MVP system will not handle high definition. I cannot remember which component was the problem.
In any case, am I wasting my time using these combined tuners, or should I just concentrate on analog boards? How do each of these two components handle HD data?

I'm not really sure what info I can add that you dont already know.

I dont have any first hand experience with it, but apparently the HVR1600 works quite well. On the MVP front, as you've already read, the MVP doesnt play HDTV files.
