Hi.

I connected my Pc to my Plasma and want to useGBPVR as my media center

I dont have and PVR but i just want to use it as media center.

Till now i used ZOOMPLAYER which worked perfect.

GBPVER works perfect also but.. HD movies have brakes.

The picture stills for half a sec (the sound also) then it continous.

With zoom player this dosent happen.

I watched a 720P MKV file.

My system is P4 2.8G D with 512MB of ram and ATI 1300.
should do the job ok (its 720P)

And zoom player surly doest it ok.

so what do i do wrong? as MPEG decoder i chose System defult, any suggestions?

thanks and bye.

Its most likely either the video or audio decoder you're using causing this.

Its usually better to explicitly select one rather than relying 'system default', which will let Windows allocate some random one.

Hi, thanks for the quick reply.

I checked all availabe Decoders at the settings menu.

I have only 4, MPV Decoder, Nero Video Decoder, DScaler MPEG2 and Cyberlink Video SP decoder.

None of them works.

So I instelled AVC Codec again and chose system default, now it works.
tough i cant see AVC at the Decoder menu.

Nowmy next problem:

Also i chose for sound AC3 FILTER and it wont output a digital stream!
when i switch to ZOOMPLAYER (without changing any settings) it does...

The only stream comes out is a regular 2 CH stream (it comes out of the SPDIF but as stereo) and this is the 2 Front speaker stream...
So i cant hear voices and stuff....

somehow the program decodes it but i want PassThrough...
my AC3 settings are good (it works with ZOOMPLAYER...)

what to do/check?

Thanks...

Sorry, I dont use AC3 Filter so I'm not really familiar with it. Do a forum search though, I'm sure I've seen discussion about this a few times in the past.

You haven't mentioned whether you're using Overlay or VMR. VMR puts a pretty big performance hit on HD video so if you haven't tried Overlay, do so. I can playback 1080i and 720p HD smoothly on my AMD 2500 and ATI X1600 Pro, but only in Overlay mode, not VMR.
