Hi everyone,

Does ffdshow work with gbpvr ? It works fine with zoom player on my system but not with gbpvr.
I have used "dscaler/intervideo noncss/intervideo/system default" as mpeg2 decoders. None of them work.
I have enabled "use ffdshow" in config.

I have all the latest version of gbpvr installed.

Thanks.

Yes, does work with GB-PVR, but what exactly you have to do to use it can vary depending on how you've got ffdshow set up (decoder vs post processing etc).

The easiest way to ensure you see it is to probably edit config.xml and add ffdshow MPEG-4 Video Decoder to the <SupportedDecoders> setting, then you can just select it as a video decoder.

Yes. Its just the name they gave the ffdshow directshow filter. It does MPEG1/2/4, divx, xvid, FLV, etc, assuming these decoders are enabled in the ffdshow configuration.

Yes, but then if you also want to use ffdshow then its more of a post processing type use, which can be a little more messy to get going - depends on versions of ffdshow etc. As a first step try ticking the 'use ffdshow post-processing if installed' checkbox. If it doesnt work straight away, then zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.

It worked.
I am happy with ffdshow video decoder. It is doing its job adequately. I have to say though the post processing filters in ffdshow really make a BIG difference.
