Hauppauge remotes stopped working today...

I performed the latest Windows updates this morning and noticed my Hauppauge remotes no longer function in GBPVR. I updated to the latest GBPVR from 98.13 hoping that would take care of it. No luck. I have the 45 button remote and tried my older 34 button remote as well with no luck. So it doesn't appear to be a problem with the remote itself.

Has anyone else experienced this? Could it be due to the windows update? If so where should I look to help trouble shoot his problem?

do the remotes work in windows?
is the remote service running (there should be something in the taskbar for it)?

The service is running in the taskbar. I have not tried it in any other window.
It has worked for over two years so it has caught me by surprise.

I guess I will have to try it in other applications.

I need to do a bit more testing although it is looking as though it might be a hardware failure of the sensor or the Hauppauge 250 card...

If I get a usb-uirt... will I be able to continue using the remotes w/o any change to setups? Looks like I can just select USB-UIRT in the config.exe of the GBPVR.
Will I need to do much else?

You also need to learn each button you want to control GB-PVR. You do this with the settings button next to the remote type.

Don't forget that the Hauppauge remote connector has a tendancy to back out and is very hard to plug in fully. (just in case you didn't try unplugging and reconnecting the cable)
