GBPVR will only utilize one processor in my dual processor server.
Logically, this symptom will also present itself in dual core and maybe even in hyperthreading scenarios.
Are there any different builds that are built for MP architecture?
what are other users with dual core systems experiencing?

No, the one and only build, and it works pretty well across multi-processor or multi-core systems.

You might want to check you dont have following set <ForceSingleProcessorAffinity>true</ForceSingleProcessorAffinity> in config.xml. This will force it to use only one processor core. It's usually 'false' allowing it to spread evenly across multiple processors or cores. Some people have had to set this to 'true' to work around stuttering problems with directshow or their decoders not wanting to cleanly use multiple cores.
