This also seems to happen sometimes when I am using totalmedia, the tv software that came with my freecom dvb-t usb stick.
The latest specific incident was at or near the end of a quick record. Whilst recording I was browsing the internet, and when the recording was due to end (or at the actual end - I'm not sure of the time), my pc just froze up. I couldn't move the mouse or press any keys with any effect. alt+ctrl+del didn't work so I turned the computer off using the power on/off button on the pc itself.
This has happended a couple of times before (these times I haven't been recording.)
my pc is win xp, sp2, athlon xp 2500+ 1.83ghz, 512mb ram.
