Can I use tv-out and remote?

I want to be able to just playback media and use the remote that came with my tv card. If I tell you what hardware I have, can you tell me if gbpvr supports it?
The card is a KWorld Global Terminator, which has an saa713? chipset. I had a hell of a time trying to get the remote to work in Linux. Apparently it isn't "GPIO". So are my tv-out and remote compatible?

Sorry, no. GB-PVR would not be able to use the tv out on this device.

Damn! Why is that? Is it because no one has been sufficiently interested in supporting this particular hardware, or am I just trying to use gbpvr in a role it wasn't designed for?

Basically I'd never heard of that device before, so I definitely havnt coded support for it.
