Currently using a PVR with GBPVR with an old Ti4200 graphics card. This is working well with SD TV. In the future I plan on adding a hi-def card to the mix and I am wondering if the Ti4200 could handle 1080i? Using a 2.4GHz Pentium 4 processor on the MB.

Thanks!

I'll have to agree, you want a proper direct x 9 card, going from memory the 4200 is a direct x 8 card.

Any recommendations for low end video cards that will handle that load? Anything under $100?

To do HDTV stuff, you probably want one of the nvidia 6600 or higher cards.

I know you can find several passive 7600 GS cards for ~100 dollars and it only is missing a couple of features.
