I lowered the number of channels(I now have around 100) and now I am able to use the EPG update in the config, but the manual update(in the taskbar) does not work. It still freezes.

Also, do you happen to know why the IR blaster from Hauppauge only works about half the time with Vista(it worked great in XP)?

Thank you.

No. You'd have to ask Hauppauge about that one.

Ok, thanks for all your help.

Were you able to solve the manual update freezing problem?

I'm not really sure what to suggest. Vista seems to work ok for me with zap2it. I'm guessing its a firewall getting in the way or something like that.

I currently have the same issue.

If you turn off UAC in Vista and then do the update, it will work. Turn UAC back on after the update completes if you would like. I'll look into it further when I have a chance.

Ont thing that may work as well is taking 'Full Control' of the Devenz folder. I have not tried it but I'll bet that it would work. By doing this you will not have to mess with the UAC.
