MP4 radio streams?

Is it possible for the native Net Radio app. to play MP4 Shoutcast streams?

My local radio station has a 96kbps MP3 stream which is pretty awful (not sure what they're doing to it to make it so bad). The also have a 64kbps MP4 stream which is actually really good quality but the Net Radio app. doesn't get past connecting to the site - I can see the station details in the info panel at the bottom of the screen but no sound.

If you can't get the net radio screen to play them have you tried the UbuStream / UbuRadio plugins? Getting a lot of traffic: http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=24516

I dont think so, but what is the details of the station though? I'll have a look when I get some spare time.

Yes - I spotted that when searching the forums for any MP4 mentions. No disrespect to ubu but I'm a bit of a minimalist and try not to use plugins if the native app. can do what I want.

In saying that though I've been keeping an eye on what ubu has been doing and I am tempted.
