I have a problem where when I'm recording an ATSC channel (using hvr-1600), it will start to record, but at some point during the program, the recording will stop, but the recording service will still report that it's recording that program. The recording service never stops thinking that unless I restart it.

The dvr-ms file is created, but it will not load.

For example, I recorded "Thank god you're here" on NBC the other night, and it created a 5GB or so file, but after the show, I found that gbpvr still thought it was recording, but wasn't. I restarted, but the file won't play.

Is there any utility out there that can fix these dvr-ms files, so I can play it?

Thanks,
Dan

I think you might try Videoredo (it has a 14 days trial I think) http://www.videohelp.com/tools/VideoReDo.

Or maybe dvr-ms Toolbox. http://www.download.com/DVRMSToolbox/300...44368.html

Thanks for the info, I'll try them tonight.

One question - your signature says GBPVR 99.5... I thought 99.12 was the latest?

I'm having this same problem with the Hauppauge 1600. I tried to record a HDTV program tonight and it would stop recording after a few minutes. Attached are my logs.
