GB-PVR random keystroke behavior

I've just installed GB-PVR under vista (ultimate) and the program has odd behavior.. I'll be typing in a menu (arrow keys or letters) and the program menus go back a level. For example, in search guide if I start typing ulti... the prgram will go back to the main menu. It doesn't seem to be related to the key stroke or the speed. Any suggestions. I don't have a remote attached

Are you possibly using a wireless or IR keyboard?

Yes--the microsoft wireless combo (NOT bluetooth). But it works fine with all other applications. Is there something I should be disabling?

One other user had this same problem with a microsoft wireless keyboard. We looked into and found this keyboard was occasionally sending 'escape' key. There is nothing GB-PVR can do about it - its some keyboard bug or receiver problem.
