wireless cutoff if mvp hooked to wired router under auto settings

I'm currently using wifi in upstairs laptop. I've got a wired router that isn't part of the network to do assign the ip to the mvp to make it load the software. however, if the wired router is in auto mode, the wifi gets cut off. If wired is in static mode, then wifi works, but mvp doesn't work.

So mine works that way, that's the way I do it... If you have a wired router you can set the DHCP to Static which the MVP will always have the same IP. I do this for all wired and wireless MVP. It's the only way the Wireless MVP will work. Also I've notice and most Corp America Companies do, is don't connect anything to the wireless Router, Wireless Access Point.. That should be independent from your nearby wired Switch. So if an MVP in play it should be hooked in the wired switch or wireless bridge.

can u elaborate? are u able to have wired mvp w/ static dhcp hooked up to ur switch that's not hoooked up to the internet as well as a wifi signal that does give internet?
