Well, it's good to know you are working on it, it ruins an otherwise nice looking skin.
FYI, I just did a clean re-install of GBPVR with no additional plugins at the moment. I played a local audio file and when I hit ctrl+s to stop the application throws an acception error. I can hit continue an GBPVR will continue to function. I attached the log, but didn't see any errors in it.
