Movie Playback Audio 5.1

Hello all, just checking to see if anyone else has experienced problem. I have issue in which I can begin to play an AVI movie with either VideoLibrary or w. movies plugin 5.1 surround is good until I pause the movie. On resume I get no audio at all. My Yamaha receiver does not reflect dolby as it did prior to pausing. I will have to test with an actual dvd player or VLC. Anyone else experienced such. Using a Turtle Beach USB audio card and 5.1 passthough TOSLINK connection. Works fine if I connect with simple 2 channel (integrated) sound card copper.

Well I think I found the problem and hope there is a fix.. found this in ac3filter docs...

1.8 Bug with switching between PCM and SPDIF
So, sound card handles switching between PCM and SPDIF output mode. But not all
sound cards can do this correctly. When you pause SPDIF playback, sound card change
SPDIF mode to PCM and may not restore SPDIF after playback resumes. In some cases,
sound card may disable PCM mode without enabling SPDIF. In the last case, sound
disappears ALL TOGETHER!
