Not sure if this has been covered before - couldnt find anything relevant on the forums.

I am using GBPVR 0.99.12 and XMLTV.

If I manually run XMLTV (3 days), and then tell GBPVR to Update EPG, start up the program and check, the guide is working perfectly. XMLTV is run via a batch file at 2am every day, and GBPVR is set to update epg at 5am.

I did the manual update last night (after weeks of complaining from the missus) and restarted GBPVR. All was well. Got home from work again today and the guide is 'empty'... almost. Prime is still listed, but every other channel is empty.

Command Line for XMLTV:

xmltvnz.exe tvguide.xml -days 3 tv1 tv2 tv3 prime sky_uktv sky_sky1 sky_e sky_living sky_food sky_espn sky_juice sky_j2 sky_mtv sky_disney sky_playhouse sky_cartoon sky_nickelodeon sky_documentary sky_discovery sky_natgeo sky_animalplanet sky_history sky_skynews sky_bbcworld sky_cnn sky_foxnews

Any hints or tips on troubleshooting this problem??

Cheers

The strange thing is, the XML generates and when I view it in wordpad it looks fine.

And if i run it manually, then click 'Update EPG' in GBPVR Config it doesnt show in GBPVR until I quit and restart GBPVR.

This suggests to me that the problem is with GBPVR, not with XMLTV

Reproduce the problem then zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.

Here are the log files. Guide seemed ok for the last 2 days but today it was gone again. Prime listings are still showing, all other channels are blank.

The XML guide is output to c:\xmltv\tvguide.xml
Opened it up and checked, all looks ok. Has current days listings.

Hope you can see something obvious for me.

Thanks in advance

There only error I can see during the EPG update related to not being able to download a channel icon. This itself shouldnt stop the process proceeding, but I've fixed up the icon name on the server to check. Can you retry an EPG update?

I just checked the system, and tv1, tv2 and prime are there, the rest are blank.

Opened up Config and ran a EPG Update. No change.

Closed GB-PVR and reopened it - No Change.

Closed GB-PVR and reran EPG update - No Change

Logs attached are from after the update.

I've had a good look at the file. The xmltv file you posted contains listings for all channels, but only a few of the channels have listings for a future date. The majority of your channels only have a small number listings for a couple of days ago, so the problem is occurring in your xmltv software that produces this file.
