I've been using a wired MVP just fine. I recently added a laptop to my network, wireless. The laptop connects to my network with no problems. The laptop would actually make a better server for gbpvr than my rather outdated PC but when I load gbpvr onto the laptop, disable it on the pc and reboot the mvp cannot find the server on the wireless laptop.

My guess would be the firewall on the laptop.
You need to enable it. Norton normally asks you. Windows Firewall doesn't so you need to manually add PVRX2.exe to the Firewall setup (used to be GBPVR.exe) but I understand PVRX2.exe is now the MVP server.

Give it a whirl, HTH

It was just the firewall settings, real brain fart on my part, thanks. GBPVR is up and running now but its crashing the mvp evertime I play an xvid file now, working on that next.
