Hello,

I have been running GBPVR for a couple of months. I was using the last version without any real issues. When I saw 1.0.8, I decided to upgrade. Everything seemed to go smoothly, however I lost the ability to watch Live TV with time-shifting enabled.

If I use Preview mode, Live TV will work. If I use Time-Shifting, the program reverts to the main menu. Looking at the logs, it's like the temporary file is not being written out to my recordings directory. The program throws an exception that it cannot open the file.

Secondly I'm using the Cyberlink 1037 Muxer and I cannot get any type of streaming to work between my two clients. Filesharing mode works and VLC streaming works via the Web Interface. Both systems are running Vista and I cannot be sure it's a 1.0.8 issue as I had not tried streaming using GBPVR or PVRX2 previously. When I try to connect from the client it just hangs with a black screen. MUXChecker indicates the Cyberlink MUX is installed on the server. I'm attaching the server logs for the Live TV issue and can work on the streaming issue after the fact. I've been quite happy with GBPVR and the new interface is much nicer. I just don't know where to look for this file access issue.

Try running the ReRegisterFilters.bat. If you're on Vista, you may need to run this from a command prompt running as administrator.

You the man. I ran that on the server and Time-Shifting started working again. Then I tried to stream to the client and it did not work. So I ran that batch file on the client, restarted the service, and all is working. That could have been a fluke - I'm new to the whole client/server thing. Works nice - really going to be pleased with this set up. The new interface is MUCH improved - thanks for hooking all of us up. I greatly appreciate your efforts and many thanks for the prompt help. Look for a donation from yours truly shortly.

Regards,
David
