How do I start writing a plugin?

I know this is probably the wrong forum, but I'm really not clear where else to go... should I just PM Sub???

I want to write something to replace Reven's (now defunct or abandoned) "My Videos" plugin, something a little fancier than the straight "Video Library", and I really don't have much idea where to start. I admit I haven't looked around the forums or wiki much, so maybe I missed something obvious, but I'm looking for the GB-PVR SDK.

Any suggestions / pointers gratefully received....

PS: the actual coding/development part is not an issue, its my day job -- its knowing where to get any info that's puzzling me right now.

I not suggesting for a minute that this should dissuade you but Reven has said that his might consider moving back to gbpvr in the near future and update myvideos.

There is also the video archives plug-in already available if you want to take a look at it. See http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Plugin/VideoArchive I plan to port it to 1.X at some point.
