Hello,

I have a Windows XP system with a Hauppage WinTV-HVR 3000 card to receive DVB-T signal and when I start GBPVR to watch live TV it crash. If I deinstall ffdshow it works...

Any ideas?

Tks

Dont use ffdshow then. It mustnt like something about the stream you're receiving.

(though I'm sure suprised you're trying to receive DVB-T siganls in the US. I was aware any existed)

You are kidding right ? You think that computer is only going to run GB-PVR or what ? We have other stuff on it that requires ffdshow. Which by the way is a very well known package and should be supported by default.
The computer I am talking about belongs to some family I have in Spain so yes they do have DVB-T over there...and I want them to record some programs for me to enjoy in the USA.

So who can help me fix this issue with GB-PVR and ffdshow ?

Actually no I wasnt Big Grin Seemed like an easy fix to me.

I'm sure you can configure it so that it doesnt try to use ffdshow with GB-PVR, even if other apps are using it.

It depends why/how ffdshow being used in the first place.

Is it being used as you MPEG2 decoder, either via the 'system default' decoder, or being explicitly selected on the playback tab of the config app as your video decoder. If thats the case, then just tell it to use a different decoder.

Alternative if ffdshow is configured to automatically inserted itself in any playback graphs for post processing, then you'll most likely need to look at your ffdshow settings to set it to not be used in PVRX2.exe. (ffdshow does have a setting used for this purpose - I checked)

Ok I'll try but let me ask you for specifics on ffdshow: where exactly to I set it not to be used in PVRX2.exe. You said there is a setting in ffdshow for this purpose but I don't quite see which one.

Tks for the help.
