Picture in Picture-like feature in 1.08

I remember this wasn't officially PIP but prior to 1.08 I could watch a recording or LiveTV and hit the menu button to return to the menu and the video would play in a window. Is this feature still available? If I try this now nothing happens.

what you are talking about is the video inset, which is not enabled in 1.08, but is set to come back in a future release
