DVB epg and mdapi filter

I guess this is a real borderline problem...

I can watch all channels perfectly wit GBpvr and mdapifilter.ax. The problem comes when i try to update the epg. Then a new instance of mdapifilter is started and there seems to be conflicts. After I update the epg, I have to restart the comp to be able to see tv again.

I guess most of the problem is that an old instance of mdapi isn't closed as it should. But on the other hand, I do not think that the filter is needed to update the epg. The info is available "for free". I tried to upgrade to a newer mdapi without success.

Due to some bugs in the mdapi filter, GB-PVR only allocates an instance of the mdapi filter the first time you try to use it, and then reuses it each time it needs create a DVB graph. That instance is never released until the application exits. Its just marked as "available" each time the app is finishes using it for something, effectively make it available for the next thing that wants it.

The scenario you describe should be fine unless you're trying to record or view live tv at the same time you're trying to update the EPG.

OK, that sounds reasonable. Due to some other problems, I reinstalled GBpvr 1.0.16 and got serious trouble with dvb epg. So I ended up with installing 1.0.08 instead.
Now it works with epg updates as it supposed to.
