Can you try running both GBPVR.exe and PVRX2.exe - I assume you have tried PVRX2 already?

So you get a black box, no menu etc?

Is this an upgrade or new install? What are your machine specs?

Maybe logs will help too - see the sticky if you don't know where they are.

Thanks

Yeah, the old interface is under the GBPVR folder in the start menu.
Be aware that Sub said this will be removed in future releases.

What video card are you using for this? (as it could be an upgrade would allow you to continue with future GBPVR releases.)

But, use the old interface for now - and maybe you don't need to upgrade - does the program do everything you want now? (although updates to EPG data grabbers etc would limit you a little)

So were you using the overlay manager with the old interface?
The new one only runs in VMR9 Custom mode, which you card is not going to handle.

You really need DX9 hardware I think - maybe 8) but from a couple of sites your card is DX5/7 compatible only.
If you want to continue with GBPVR then you'll prob need a new card at some stage - maybe an ATI 9550, or something similar. not sure on price, but cheap now.

Cheers

As I said, as long as the program does everything you want at the moment, you don't have to upgrade - and you can always use XMLTV as your guide source etc in the future.

Plugins may be a problem, not sure if you use too many - keep good backups of any you are currently running in case they are removed.

Good idea,

maybe do a post on the hardware section, or general discussion on this forum asking if anyone has any spare gear for sale. (from around you area) At least you know it has been used for PVR activities and should work.

I'm sure a heap of people here have rooms & rooms of gear hoarded away "just in case"

Or go the ebay route. I'm sure you'll be able to find something.
