Heya.

I finally upgraded to Vista..
I install gb pvr and scan for channels, then when I try to import the UK DVB it says.. "Starting scan.." then 2 seconds later "Saving new listings.." and doesn't import anything!

If you need logs, which ones and where?

Many thanks
David

config.exe.log and config.exe-native.log from the Logs folder in the gbpvr installation folder (usually C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\Logs). Make sure they're the logs for the time period when you last scanned.

sub's on hols at the moment but pops in from time to time. I'll take a look at the logs to see if I can come up with any ideas, but if it's an obscure problem then it'd be up to sub to advise.

Have you tried searching the forums for Vista-related problems? It may have been answered before - not sure, I use XP Pro.

Cheers,
Brian

I'm wondering if your problem is the same as Glynderi in this thread...

http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=28972

Do have a copy of the Cyberling multiplexer registered on your system? If so then switch the BDA Multiplexer setting on the Misc. tab in Config to Cyberlink, click OK to restart the rec. service then go back in to Config and try another scan.

Cheers,
Brian

Sorry - I lost track of your thread somewhere along the way (and the last two weeks in general - too busy at work).

To quote your previous post...
Quote:I have Cyberlink selected, and still.. no hope!
...but do you have a registered copy of a Cyberlink mux on your machine? You can select it even if you don't have it and GB-PVR will just fall-back to the DVR-MS mux if it can't find it.

Use the BDA Mux Checker from the GB-PVR start menu folder if you're not sure. You should see something like this...
Quote:GB-PVR has detected the following multiplex filters on your machine:

Found: CyberLink MPEG Muxer
FILE: C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\THMpgMux.ax
VERSION: 5.0.1307

Found: ATI MPEG Multiplexer
FILE: C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\atidvcr.dll
VERSION: 9.12.0.60312

If you're running WinXP SP1 or higher, you will also be able to use the built-in DVR-MS mux filter
If a mux isn't listed in the way that my system shows the Cyberlink and ATI muxers, then you'll need to get a copy and register it.

Check the first post of this thread for a source of mux filters...

Hope that helps.

Cheers,
Brian
