Remote help

Well I just finished building my pvr with windows xp and the hvr-1600 and I've installed the latest build of gbpvr (v1.0.16) and tried all weekend to get my remote to do some pretty basic stuff and just can't figure it out. Basically I Want my remote to open the gbpvr.exe when I see my desktop or while most other applications are open. I've gone into Irremote.ini and tried changing a few things such as adding:

but this did nothing. I INstalled hip but was unable to get that working and I've done other stuff and with no success. I'm attaching my whole copy of the Irremote.ini and hopefully somebody can take a look at it and see if it is the problem or it's something else.

Also when I installed my hvr-1600 it came along with wintv, could this be a possible conflict? I can change channels just fine and adjust the volume along with a few other remote functions when in gbpvr but can't turn it off or on!

Any help would be appreciated!

try changing it to this
{run(C:\Progra~1\devnz\gbpvr\GBPVR.exe)}

Or even ...PVRX2.exe for the new exe.

Also, are you restarting the IR process (restartir.exe I think) each time after making changes and saving/closing the ini file? That's thrown me a few times!

Yes I have tried all of the above suggestions and I have restarted the IR process every time too.

Any other idea?

Sorry if this seems like a dumb question but it's been done before.
Is your install directory correct?
meaning, is gbpvr installed at c:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\

Check the remote & IR s/w is working ok -
Open a notepad window & save it as debug.txt, don't close the notepad window. Point your remote at the ir receiver & press a few remote keys. If its working ok you should see the pressed keys displayed in the debug.txt window.

The install directory is correct, I checked that several times and also the remote & IR s/w is working ok, I Checked that with the debug.txt and it was showing the buttons I was pressing.

Does anybody have a copy of their Irremote.ini that I could take a look at by chance?
