Hi I`m going to upgrade later this evening to vista, What files do I need to back up to keep all the recordings, scheduled recordings, capture device and tunnings? Just to make it an easier transistion

Whats everyones opinion of Vista? Is it really worth upgrading from XP?

Just looking for advice and opinions before I make the jump this evening.

Thanks

Pete

The important files are config.xml and gbpvr.db3 - but only copy them back onto the version they came from.

I actually quite like it, but its definitely not as smooth for video as XP. Things like moving windows around etc are more likely to cause stuttering, where as on XP it'd continue smoothly.

I`ve now upgraded to vista all went smoothly, I have to say first impressions of vista are good and the media centre in vista is also very slick in the menus. Is this what we have to look forward to with the new interface in pxr2? horizontal and vertical animated menus.

Cheers

I only updated because I got Ultimate from MS for testing. Otherwise, I would have waited until my next system purchase.
That said, I have it in a dual boot setup and find myself using Vista 75% of the time. Other than it's lack of ease working with MVP, it's been working with GBPVR very well.
