After a long period of trying to deal with XML plugins i decided to just go the schedule direct route and pay for it.

I installed 1.0.16 over a much older version, 9.x.xx. I get the same problem when I installed over it, as when I reinstalled after uninstalling and deleting hte devnz folder.

I put in my schedule's direct name and password, I have a subscribed linup with all of my channels listed, but when I tell it to update the EPG I get this picture:

I've checked multiple times. My name and password are correct.

Apply this patch: http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=2...ostcount=7

You will need to stop the recording service and close the tray app first.

Also, make sure you enter your username in the EPG config instead of your email address. (This is due to a change in by SD).

Thanks for the quick reply!

I'm using my login name, not email. I put the patch in the main GBPVR folder, replacing the older file. I stopped the recording service and could not find an icon in the system tray. I restarted the recording service and opening up the config and tried to update. New error!

That error tells us that Schedules Direct is sending you some invalid XML.

We've seen a couple of occurances of this in the past, at which time there was a flurry of similar reports on the Schedules Direct forums at the same time. They inturn contacted TMS, who supplies the data, and the data was fixed.

You best bet is to post that screenshot on the schedules direct forum or open a schedules direct ticket for the problem. They may ask you to post the original xml sent from zap2it. To do this, set <SaveZap2itXML>true</SaveZap2itXML> in config.xml, then hit the 'update epg' button - which will result in a c:\zap2it.xml file being created.

Thanks for the help, I submitted a ticket via lineup support.

I was told to expect it to take a week to get the issue resolved. My trial ends in a week. They are sure making me want their product.

Edit: Now it is working. Hurrah.

I'm sure it'll be fixed much quicker than that. Here is a thread from today on the schedules direct forum where several users have started to report this problem: http://forums.schedulesdirect.org/viewto...?f=5&t=415

I'm sure it'll be resolved quickly once the schedules direct guys start hassling TMS.

As i edited above (before I noticed your new posts) it's working.

Except now I'm having other problems with GBPVR. This is the weirdest thing. Oh well, a new thread about it will crop up in a minute.

Just on the same topic, but probably unrelated to this user's specific problem, I had a very similar problem, and all it was that SchedulesDirect had inactivated my account because I had to specifically accept the terms of the privacy policy. Once I logged in directly on their website and approved the policies, everything worked fine. Hope this helps someone.
