I would like to install GBPVR on my Vista machine. Can you please tell me what files I need and the steps I need to do to install GBPVR. I want to make sure I do it right the first time so I don't have problems.

I've done nothing special at all to install on Vista. It all seems to be working pretty damn well. So much so I've not booted to XP in weeks.
If you follow the regular install guide in the wiki, you should be fine.

Dont forget to backup your CONFIG.XML and GBPVR.DB3, Or you will lose your settings, Thats if you want to keep your settings and scheduled recordings and the recording info etc.

I agree I have`nt used XP for a month after upgrading to Vista it seems very stable

See here http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=29946

What graphics cards are you guys using with Vista, out of interest? My PVR machine is quite old-ish, and perfectly adequate, so I don't plan on replacing it, but its graphics card has no decent Vista drivers so I may have to invest in a new card. It's old enough to be AGP, mind you...

I have just basic onboard video but it runs pvrx2 ok. What might help you compare with online rules is that this has a Vista Windows System Assessment Tool score of 4.9 for graphics and 4.0 for gaming graphics.

You must have a awsome motherboard, you get similar scores to me, and I`m running a Nvidia 7600GT 256meg on AGP

Ooops just realised you mean vista has a total score, Silly me :-)

My score was 4.0 only because of gaming graphics which is really not my use (and I'm not even sure it that applicable to PVRX2) Outside of typical graphics use at 4.9 everything was 5.7/5.9 so I'm pleased. The point was that you don't need a powerhouse graphics card you just need a capable one.
