Hello,

I ran through the quick start. I added a capture source with BDA Recording Plugin with my Hauppage HVR-1600 ATSC Analog source. I set the EPG source to an XMLTV file I generated with the Yahoo! api 2 xml utility. I clicked "Update EPG" and it shows all my channels with enabled being checked.

However, GBPVR still says that I need to add a recording source and click Update EPG. I already did this several times with no errors or anything. What am I missing?

Thanks.

You mean that you added the 1600 ATSC Digital source. For analog source you need to use the "Direct Recording" source.

For digital sources, once you add the capture card and the EPG, you need to click the "Map digital channels to EPG channels", let it scan, then map the results.

Oh, okay, I must have read it wrong. I switched it to direct and I can get into GB-PVR now and go to Live TV and it works, however, the TV Guide doesn't show any programs. The YAPI program does work with GB-PVR, right?

Also, can you recommend something, a device I could buy or method I could use, that would clear up noise in my signal? Some channels are clear, but lower channels have wavy lines or slight static.

Thank you very much for your help.

It works. It was written to be used in GB-PVR specifically. No listings is usually an issue of duplicate channels in the XML file. Zip and post your gbpvr\logs folder.

Do you have any signal amplifiers on your cable line?
