Occasionally, well, on a weekly basis, some of our favorite shows that we watch have issues with fast-forwarding and re-winding video's. ComSkip is messed up as well.
What appears to happen is that the recording starts out fine, but a couple of minutes into the show, the timing resets back to 0:00. So it seems to combine two mpg files together. But the actual file is one file.
Initially watchin the show, it starts as 0:00 to 27:27 as the timeframe of the show. At 5:23 at this particular show, it resets to 00:00 to 27:27 and if you hit FF, it goes back to the beginning of the show and will continue to cycle through the first 5:23 of the show. Last year I saw this a few times and it seemed like it happened if I printed using this computer while it was recording.
I'm guessing that this is happening because in this instance, I had recorded a show immediately before this screwed up one, and comskip likely completes at the time the damaged show hits 5:23. Has anyone else experienced this or know of a solution? Thanks.
