After upgrading to 1.0.1.16 one month ago my EPG is totally gone. Anyone else having problems with DVB EPG? My digibox picks it up just fine, but not PVRX2.

Much appreciated if someone could look into this, I would really like to use it....

Logs attached.

It looks like the app doesnt like something in the broadcast stream. This is always a painful sort of problem to work through, since I tend to need to get the user to record a 200MB or so transport stream file and make it available to me somehow. I can then play it back here in the debugger.

OK. I did not mention it in my first post, but there was actually a change in the DVB EPG broadcast at approximately the same time as I did my upgrade, so the fact that it did work before the upgrade does not necessarily mean that PVRX2 initially caused the problem.

Perhaps there are other Swedish users having this problem?

As for submitting a 200MB transport stream - I can submit it to a file transfer area, if you are interested in looking at it?

Yes, thats probably the best way of resolving. Post the download URL (or PM me) and I'll grab the file and take a look.

What exactly is a "transport stream"? A recorded 200MB piece of .mpg? Anything else I need to think of?

No, you'd need to record a full transport stream. Its a .ts file, but GB-PVR cant record this type of file (it can record "partial" transport streams). This can be done with utilities like DVBStreamExplorer.

OK. Since there are no other swedish users complaining (and I have seen swedes in here....) I guess the problem is more local.

I just mean - perhaps it might be something with my set-up as opposed to a general code issue?

I'm sure they've probably made some change to the way the EPG listings are being packed with the broadcast stream, and its causing the parser problems. We've seen this a few times in the past, and I've had to make minor changes to accommodate those changes.

OK. I have looked at DVBStreamExplorer and it seems as if I could go with either a "pro" or "home" version, and I cannot tell which one is enough. Do you know which version I need?

I dont know, I've never used it. I just remember that has been what some other users have used when they needed to provide a transport stream. Some manufactures also provide tools for capturing transport streams with their own cards (Twinhan etc).
