Greetings,

On two different machines I've found that my sound-scheme gets messed up after GBPVR install. I just have a simple stereo setup, but it seems to think it's in surround or something. None of the Realtek settings seem to correct it. Has anyone else had a problem like this?

Also, I don't see the "server" program, the one my Media MVP would connect to. I checked services and didn't see anything appropriate. Ideas?

gbpvr just calls what ever setting you have it set to it doesnt adjust anything media related as such
when installed it wouldnt have changed any default settings that is upto you to do
have a look what you have your mpeg audio decoder set to then adjust by clicking on the box with 3 dots in it
and the audio renderer (normally just left as default)

In the config under MPV, make sure you have got under number of servers to autostart set to atleast 1

Turns out the speakers (or the amp within) were messed. I can hear again Smile.

However, my MVP in the living room doesn't see the server. I did update the start MVP server settings to 1, and it did launch a process. But the MVP can't find it. Any ideas on what to try next? I know the ethernet cable works - checked it with my laptop.

Are you using vista?

If I remember rightly you have to use a different dongle for vista
