i tried this...

which put it as this...
[IMG][Image: ccc.jpg][/IMG]
but it still didn't bring any channels up when i put in update EPG?

i am grateful for the help but am lost at this stage.

The clue is in the "0 programs found". I'll just fire mine up and step through setting it up. (sorry if this seems too basic, but it should cover everything).

Fire up xmltvgui.
Click tools, settings
click on Grabbers tab
Highlight UK_RT and tick the box.
At the bottom click on channels
Click on "refresh channels" tab The left window should fill with stations.
As a test, try BBC1 (your region), ITV etc. Use the control key to select multiple channels.
Click the >> to move them to the right window. and cick OK. and OK
Then hit the "grab listings" from the main screen. and you should now have some programs found and an xml file with something in it.

Then into gb config and import the epg and do some channel mapping.
Then you can go back to xmltvgui and add all your available channels. (at least you only have to do this once)

cheers mate.
i have now been given the channels but there is loads. should i only select and move over acertain ones, if so how do i find out which? or select all?

Just pick a couple first time round - say bbc and itv for your region. Then get them running in gbpvr. Once you know it's working then you pick the ones you want that are available on freeview. (see something like:- http://www.ukfree.tv/allchannels.php )
