I have a Hauppauge 1600 installed and I believe I finally have it working well. I have been having problems getting the QAM tuner set. I used the qam.ini files PixelatedFool provided ( http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=2...tcount=118 ) and found that the +3Mhz file fixed the occasional stutter I was seeing.

My question deals with how to access the digital tuner. I want to use the analog tuner first when recording but I would like to view live TV on the digital tuner. I have the analog tuner set first in the config utility. I have the QAM channels mapped to their proper stations and both the HD and SD channels are selected. (I do not see a second set of listings under the Channels tab.) I understand that GBPVR uses the first tuner listed when recording (is that right?). If I scroll up the channels, shouldn't I view the HD channels or am I mistaken? Thank you for your thoughts.

When you schedule a recording GB-PVR works its way down the capture source list looking for an available capture source with the specified channel.

When starting live tv it does the opposite - it works its way up the capture source list looking for an available capture source with the specified channel.

Once you start live tv though, and start changing channels, it'll try to stick the currently used capture source unless the requested channel is not available. It does this to make sure channel change times are as quick as possible.

That explains it. Sometimes I was seeing HD, sometimes not. Thanks.
