client won't work with firewall

Hi all
using xp-pro sp2 on both server and client with the latest GB-PVR
everything is working great when both firewalls are off, but when i turn them on the client is stuck.
what are the settings i need to apply on my firewall?

I don't know which firewall software you are using. Usually you can allow for exe names to pass through, that is gbpvrrecordingservice.exe and pvrx2.exe.

If you need to set the ports manually, I think you need to open up 7967 and 7968.

Sounds like you need to add firewall exclusions on both the client and server.

It worked, i thought it was going to be a bit more complicated then that, like openning certein ports and so on.
