First i would like to thank you for a cool, and good program - i upgradet to
version : 10105 from an old version No Problem !!

This was done some time ago - But suddently (i think out of the blue) i am getting this error when trying to start PVRX2 :
Sorry, this system does not support the required VMR9 video render.

I am running mediaplayer 11 - Works fine.
I have tried reinstalling all the codecs i got and tried reinstalling directX - nothing helps.

Any suggestions ?

Zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.

I think the error started just after a windows update running 2 days ago.

Have you tried checking for updated drivers? It seems to me I had this error when I was building my client system, and updated video drivers resolved the issue.

Either that, or I needed to install updated video codecs (like ffmpeg or DirectShow MPEG decoders). Try checking http://www.free-codecs.com for MPEG2 codecs & see if that helps.

Try "downdating" video drivers too. I have an ATI card (radeon 9550, although a huge bunch of ATI cards use the same driver package) and the 7.x catalyst drivers give me this error, but the 6.x drivers are fine. There's a few other people out there with this error (search the posts for vmr9 and ati). I've contacted ATI but waiting a reply....

Now after spending the entire morning and som of the afternoon i'am back on track .. Found out that some of my directX files were currupt - Couldn't launch And old Need for speed Demo either !!!
Then trying to fix the DirecX problem - No luck
Then suddently when all hope was gone (close to reinstall) i stumbled on system repair - never tried it before - so i tought - Nothing to loose - lets try to go back af few days - I went back i time (not in a DeLorian) - 1 week ago i had a saved system state. Now Everything works !!!

Lets hope it stays that way.

Thankt for the input.

This is the coolest PVR out there.
