Quality Profile Settings?

I'm trying to increase the recording quality using the "Quality Profile Settings" under "Edit Recording Source -> Direct Recording Configuration".  It seems that no matter which settings I choose, it gets reset to "Medium Quality".

Just looking, I don't see where it gets updated in a config file (but then it's late, and I may just be looking past it).  Any pointers? This was happening with both 0.23.8 and 0.23.11.

Well, it gets reset to "Medium" quality in the drop down list since this profile is set as default.
You change the quality settings for each of these profiles by choosing one of them ie "Medium" and then click the "Edit" button next to the drop list. Now, set the bitrate you would like for the "Medium" quality setting. Do this with the "Low", "Medium" and "High" profiles and your good to go.

Next, start up GB-PVR, enter the TV Guide and choose a show to record. Now you get presented with a settings screen for that recording and from there you choose which quality profile to use; "Low", "Medium" or "High".

Oh, I mis-understood. I thought the dialog box was to select the default for that capture device...I get it now. Instead of trying to select "Custom2" for default Live TV, I should instead go modify the "Live TV" params...
