Quote:i am encoding a 2.5 gig mpeg file in the background using automkv and I have GBPVR open and watching shows but none of my new recordings are recording. they just dissapear in the schedule as soon as one starts
There is no reason you wouldnt be able record in GB-PVR while encoding with automkv. If automkv was using consuming too much CPU then you might end up with crappy recordings, but you definitely should get recordings.

Reproduce the problem then zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.

Thank you for your help. today I tried to record and had the same problem with nothing running and i noticed my epg had no info so I removed my capture sources and reloaded them and all is good. I will try to encode with autogk after tonight and post if i continue to have problems.

thanks sub

to _Iz-: I tried the new autogk and I selected 700 file size and put in an 8 gig 2.5 hour movie and under 3 hours later out popped a 713mg movie that did not look pixellated and is sharp with great colors and i'm blown away by the quality.

thanks for the pointer..

i used autogk years ago when you had to make all the choiced and run the program steps manually and it was frustrating. this is all auto now and brilliant

I am searching the forums to find a plugin to use with pvrx2. for this quality picture and file size it is well worth it to put all my new records in batch to be encoded and delete the sources since the quality is just like the tv.
