Hi all,

I've been working with putting my pvr box into Standby. I am able to manually put it in standby both from the menu and from the Windows Start Menu. gbpvr wakes up correctly for the EPG and recordings.

However, I'm having trouble getting it to sleep on its own. With pvrx2.exe running, I set Windows to standby after 5 minutes and it went into standby fine. However, when I change Windows to Standby after 1 hour with pvrx2.exe running, it will not go into Standby. If I exit pvrx2, then it will Standby after 1 hour.

I disabled the Log Flushing feature. Is there anything else that pvrx2 could be doing to keep the system awake?

As a work around, Can I just program my Haupauge remote to start pvrx2 and thus just leave gbpvr not running when not in use?

Thanks,
Sam

Sorry I can't be much help. Just noticed your post. I'm experiencing similar problems described under the post 'Sleep problems anyone ?' My probs start after a recording then computer will not hibernate. I haven't tried disable log flushing yet.

I have now discovered that it appears it won't go back into Standby after the EPG update at 2:00 AM. And I have to confirm this, but I don't think it will Standby after watching a recording (Possibly also after recording a show as well). Thanks for the link. I'll check that post out.
