searchwiz would probably have to be modified to call the plugin interfaces to tell it where the inset window should be placed.

do you mean the actual seachwiz.dll? or can I add something in the skins.xml to enable the sound at least?

You should already be getting sound. Removing the video is something SearchWiz.dll would need to do though. GB-PVR never looks in a plugin's skin.xml file. Its up to the plugin to tell GB-PVR where (or not) the inset window should be.

right... I just realized i do have sound but also the huge video window that makes searches impossible.

sorry I just woke up hehe. I am so used to searching without no sound.

I'd like to add this feature. What exactly do I need to add to SearchWiz to make this happen (ie, enable a video inset)?

I'm not in New Zealand at the moment so cant check the exact details, but you need to call the plugin helper API for setting the inset window position. If the API isnt obvious from the name, then bump the thread early next week and I'll look up the details for you.
