After I change channels in my STB, usualy there's a message like press this to start over, or press that to join this package and so on. The way to get rid of those messages is to press the esc. button on the STB remote.
I have a plasma screen and i'm afraid of image retention at these cases.
After I start a record, is there any way of sending esc. signal to the STB from GB-PVR to eliminate any messages?

using HIP with mce remote.

Sorry there is nothing built into GB-PVR that would do this.

You could probably rig up your own scheme by running some commands in ParallelProcessing.bat.

do you think adding an 'esc' to end of the blaster line would work?
it would be sent everytime a channel is changed...
you would also have to create a systemwide 'esc' command in HIP so it would be addressable from hipwsend.exe..[like the numbers]

but postprocessing.bat is probably best way...add a 'sleep' delay for the 3 minutes..then hipwsend back..
still need systemwide 'back' key in hip..[in HIP,my 'esc' key is named 'back']

of course this will only work if you can change channels and hit esc after everytime without incident...[usually extra 'esc's are ignored]
Hardware: HDHR Prime, HDPVR 1212, Raspberry pi2, VFD display w/LCDSmartie

I thought about adding 'esc' to the end of the line, the problem is that those irritating pop-up messages come up only a minute or two after I change the channel, so I actualy do need a delayed command.
As for the postprocessing.bat, I'm sure thats the right way to do that, but I don't have any knowledge in programming or even write the most basic codes.
