While watching live TV using the latest GBPVR (Windows Vista Home Premium), the picture is off-center for me with a thick black bar running down the left side of the screen.

Is this a known issue? A possible bug? Or is there a setting somewhere I can play with to fix it?

A quick search of the forums didn't find anything on this subject, though I may have missed it (sorry if I did).

I am using a Hauppauge PVR-150MCE and the bar is non-existent when using WinTV 2000.

Thanks much for any help.

I have tried playing with that setting and it stays the same.

I haven't recorded anything, so I don't know.

I just tried to pause live TV and PVRX2 froze up on me. When I clicked "Restart Recording Service," it rebooted my machine.

Heh... yes, I am totally new to this program, but I think something may be wrong on my end.

GBPVR.exe and PVRX2 both freeze on me now and the only way to close them is to reboot the machine. This happened after trying to pause.

Edit2:
Now I can't watch TV AT ALL. Windows Media Center and WinTV2000 just freeze up, no picture ever comes up and the only way to kill them is a hard reboot of the system. Any idea how I can fix this?

The black bars that you've shown in your picture above is pretty normal, and is part of your picture. On a regular TV you dont see this because the overscan pushes it off the edge of the screen. Pretty much all you can do is increase the zoom settings in GB-PVR to replicate the same sort of overscan.

On the rebooting etc - sorry, it sounds like you have screwy drivers, or are experiencing some sort of hardware instability. This isnt something I can help you with.

Ahh, I see. This makes sense.

I had to physically remove the card from my machine to get it to work again. The errors I started to get with Windows Media Center gave me the idea. The error was that "something" else was using the tuner card at the same time and reboots weren't clearing it.

Powering off, removing the card and reinstalling it did the trick.

Thanks for your help, sub. Smile
