new PVRX2.exe made system unstable

After installing this patch to the devnz directory my GBPVR doesn't work. When I go to run the config to start the tray icon etc. when I say OK it hangs with an error. (It has the same date as the patch now -13.11.07)

"unhandled exception has occured ... cannot start service"

As far as I am aware this is the only thing that I changed - to improve the MP3 playing abaility.

It was working OK before - mainly watching divx movies.

Using Windows 2003 Server on a HP Proliant machine.

Hundreds of others are also using that patch without any problems, so I'd be surprised if that was the cause.

Hit the OK button in the config app, then zip and attach your logs and I'll take a look.

That wasnt the log I was talking about, but I'm pretty sure it gives us the answer anyway:

System.InvalidOperationException: Cannot start service GB-PVR Recording Service on computer '.'. ---> System.ComponentModel.Win32Exception: Access is denied

Are you running from an account that doesnt have admin privileges?
