No recording status in PVRx2

I think I tried to shutdown the pc once while it was recording, and the SlimmGBPVR utility popped up and said it would do it at the end of the recording.

I can't remember if that was using the power button, or using standby in the slimm menu.

Ah sorry I skim read. you want the behavior to change depending on whether a recording is in progress or not.

It may be possible to write code to do this but there is nothing off the shelf that does it.
