Sheik Yerbouti Wrote:My conclusion that I had Acamd working with GBPVR (http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=33120) was wrong. It worked, but for some reason it stopped working (no picture) and it's going on and off now, so it's not stable or reliable yet.
On http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=33309 you are discussing a new MDAPI and I've seen the subject on dvbn.happysat.org.
What I'd like to point out that Acamd is working perfectly with ProgDVB, so I wonder what the difference is with GBPVR? Is ProgDVB using a different MDAPI, or something completely different?

im getting this also using an irdeto 1 card.
if i use directly with com1 it finds a key pretty quick.... but never shows a pic.

if i then set it up to access smartcard via a newcs server (using newcamd protocol) - it shows a pic... tho then when the codes roll - it donest appear to pick up change and then goes back to no signal.

im scratching my head here - and would love some more suggestions on what to try.

yanksee works - but since the codes roll often - id be continually removing card to put into stb.

Sorry, I can only say that it started working for me as soon as I stopped using the PMT file and I'm reading the card at 3.57Mhz, and not 6, so I've got a line with ComX_6mhz=0 in acamd.ini. For you that would be Com1_6mhz=0 I think.

At this moment my recordings aren't working with Multidec (live tv is), but I'm waiting for a new card reader that will hopefully solve some problems for me. Maybe I can be a better help when I've got it fully functional.

Just to double check ... your suggesting i read the Irdeto1 card at 3.57 MHz? ill try that tonight..

Yes i added some entries into the PMT file - which would popuplate most of the values required (not ECM) - but as you say - when i turn off the read PMT.. (but have scan CAT and scan PMT on) - it seems to find the key pretty quick ... but doesnt give me a picture.... almost as if its still encrypted (but then why would acamd say its got a key).

If i get it to access via the newcs server it displays pic as soon as it finds a key - but something tells me the card isnt being updated via this process (even tho using newcamd protocol) and when the keys roll - the pics disappear. In saying that the same might happen if i use direct on com1 via acamd .. but since ive not had a pic using it direct yet - its hard to tell...

The only other multidec addin ive found that works with irdeto1 is 'MD-Irdeto-CAM1.06' - but this doesnt work - it seems to just go into a look querying the card and never actually gets to try and decode the pic.

If anyone else could suggest an addin that can decrypt irdeto1 (either via direct com port attach or via a newcs server) - please let me know and ill test them.

many thanks for the advice so far...

Here's an update. I now have an Infinity USB Phoenix connected to the COM1 (it only gets its power through the USB port) and I no longer have freezes in Windows. For some strange reason my card is now working on 6Mhz, which actually is normal for Irdeto. So the Smartreader+ just gave me a lot of trouble, and I'm glad I've got this new card reader. The price is the same so if you've got a choice, buy the Infinity USB Phoenix!
I'm running newcs 3.1 with newcsgui, so I don't get an ugly dosbox in Vista. And I'm using Acamd to connect to the newcs server. The only thing I've got in acamd.ini is:

Code:
[ACamd]
ShowMonitor=0

But I believe this is the default value, so you could probably do without it. In cardclient.conf I've got:

Code:
newcamd:192.168.1.76:15000:1/0604/ffff:dummy:dummy:0102030405060708091011121314

This is all you need to get Acamd running with newcs (along with acamd.dll and smartcard.conf). I could also post my newcs.xml, but I don't think Sub would like that (maybe I'm already crossing the line here).

Chris

If some of users with acamd experience have a minute to look in this thread
http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...post315513
it would be much appreciated
