Thank you for finding that. I've searched for an hour attempting to find it.
Also solved the problem for me.
Thanks!

I'm having this error 1721 and can't seem to fix it with the info given on this post. I've un-installed, did the sc... installed the other package vcredist_x86 then GB-PVR even tried with the /passive, and nothing seems to work.
On vista 32bit with HVR-1800 with digital Set-top on S-Video.

I had 1.15 installed in C:\GBPVR on Vista Ultimate 64, complete with the patch to get rid of the no signal error on 1st run, which never actually did get rid of the problem.
Running GBPVR10209.msi gives the immediate can't install error, doesn't get as far as checking anything. Tried all the other answers about sc'ing service etc, un-installed 1.15, system restored, blah, blah. Running as /passive assumes %ProgramFiles% or in my case %ProgramFiles(x86)%, which works in that it quite happily uninstalls 1.15 from C:\GBPVR and then installs 1.2.9 into C:\Program Files (x86)\Devnz, conveniently forgetting to copy/migrate my config.xml and gbpvr.db3 files. Copying them over results in it crashing everytime I select to watch something from the guide. I presume there's something missing from the config.xml. Looks like I'll have to re-config from scratch or line-by-line compare the .xml's

Just had a thought in that being a M$ TechNet subscriber, I'm running Vista 64 SP1 which doesn't come out until later for most peeps.

Thought I had it installed properly. Net radio didn't work on the mvp and the video was stuttering on the mvp. Uninstalled and it had an error saying it couldn't finish uninstalling due to some vague error. I tried removing is manually, removing all registry entries I could as well as the whole directory. Then went back to 115. Now it fails trying to register the files in the re-register bat. Every time. Tried going back a couple of releases and the same registering error. Any ideas how to get it loaded again?
Thanks, Ken

Just a thought for you guys with install problems if you haven't to try add/remove programs in control panel, deleting the gbpvr folder, and then installing the new one. I was messing with the installer a lot, it would error, wouldn't repair, wouldn't fully uninstall, so I did it the old-fashioned way in control panel. Just a thought since, because of the GBPVR installer, for a little while I wasn't thinking to just uninstall through control panel and delete the entire folder.
Reminder to first copy whatever files you want to save, of course.
I bet Michael Bay uses GBPVR because it's awesome:

Although this was with one specifique version.

After a lot of wrong turns, I manually re-registered quartz.dll and all proceeded as it was supposed to. How it got unregistered is anyones guess.
regsvr32 quartz.dll It's all working fine now. Even on the latest version. Thanks for the suggestions. Ken

I've Also had this problem this morning, on 1.2.9 and 1.1.5, I've added all the latest MS fixes via Microsoft Update, and this time GBPVR has installed sucessfully.
My machine was a complete rebuild as XP BSOD serveral times and I got feed up with trying to recover it however after the rebuild GBPVR would not install nor would 1.1.5 hence adding all the MS fixes....
