Hi

I'm moving GBPVR, now got new install, new hardware, channels all done.

I dont really want to "copy" all the old settings so is there a way of exportig the recordings and there titles only?

Normally i just take the MPG file and plonk that in a directory but would be nice to keep the names, not overly bothered though if its to risky, the db3 file has the channels as well i think so i dont want to restore that???

Its same version to same version, however its from 2000 to 2003, with different hardware (PVR-USB2 now which seems to have installed on 2003 so did GBPVR).

Ideas??
Many Thanks
Ashley

You can do an 'Import Recordings' and select the recordings-dump.xml. If you dont want new season recordings to be created, then you'll need to delete them from the file before doing the import.

Backup recordings-dump.xml before you do anything. Its a valuable file.

Copy the recordings-dump.xml from the old machine to the new machine, then use the import recordings function.

This worked...... as long as the locations are the same on the new install (can edit the XML file direclty if needed).
Many Thanks
