Sorry, I ment to say: there are many more 'supported decoders' in the .xml file than I see avaliable in the config drop down list.

It'll only show those supported decoders that are actually found on your machine.

Sorry about the extra posts, there was some update delay on my end.

I understand now, thanks for helping me.

as sub said, the dropdown will only show the supported decoders that are installed on your machine. If the supported decoders list contains 5 decoders but you only have 2 of them installed, only those two will show up in the prefered decoder dropdown.

Edit: gotta love that delay.

Another question. Media Player Classic Home Cinema just came out with decoders that support DXVA on ATI and Nvidia Video cards. They also supply the stand-alone .ax files so we could use them in other programs. I would like to use these in PVRX2, but when I added them to the config file PVRX2 locked up. I used some program to try to get the name (dccheck maybe?) and didn't use the ax file name. Was that the right way? Is there a trick to editing the config file? Besides using notepad, I mean.

Thanks
Richard

I've been meaning to try the decoders from MPC Home Cinema. Where can I download them?

I got mine from http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles..._id=170561

Was not impressed though. Had issues using the video and audio decoders in GBPVR.

Let me know what you find with them. Would love to use this 2400 in PVRX2. Also, I had the wrong program above, it was DSFmgr that I got the names from, was I at least on the right track to add them to the config.xml file? Amother adventure tonight, I want to use PVRX2 to copy VCR tapes to the computer. I think I need to "fool" the guide in order to record them.
