Hi there,

I keep having this error in my recordings log. It looks like it's happening because of a multidec recording that doesn't get decrypted. But eventually it does, so the recording service doesn't stop, but my PCH can't play any files untill I restart the recording service (buffer screen never goes away). Any ideas?

This error only if happens if the recording service did manage to shut down cleanly last time it was running then stopped, with Windows still thinking a particular port is in use. Rebooting will clear it (since the port will no longer be in use). I'm not sure why some people get this, but its more common to get it when the web server is enabled.

OK. I'll stop the webserver for some time to see if it improves, since I hardly ever use it. And you're right, I need to reboot, restarting the recording service is not enough.

Stopping the webserver wasn't a very smart idea from me, since I need it for the PCH. Could the PCH be causing this this error or is there a Mutidec relation? Because I get it very frequently lately. Is it an option to clear the ports when the recording service is started, or am I talking nonsense here?

I was waiting for you to come back and say that.

You're probably noticing it a lot recently because you're using a web server alot because of the PCH. Its not related to multidec.

Try setting <ClientModeMediaPort></ClientModeMediaPort> in config.xml.

Shouldn't I place something inside it, like true or false?

I should have looked at config.xml before I asked that last question. Thanks for your support sub!
