Hi there - it's been a while and I'm wondering if anyone has any solution to this?
Having a sprog who likes to watch Cbeebies I've noticed a related issue:
Cbeebies and BBC3 time share and swap over at 19:00. If the sprog wants something recorded that finishes at 19:00 (with my customary 3 minute end padding) the program recording overlaps the service change from Cbeebies to BBC3. The result is that the recording service hangs and subsequent recordings never start.

Anyone got a solution or work around (apart from not recording programs that straddle the switch over)?

Cheers...Martin

bgowlans was suggesting below that 0 padding might work.
I also had a thought that slimmtray http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Utility/SlimmGBPVR monitors the recording service and relaunces if it's crashed. No idea if it would pick up this type of event but worth looking into maybe.

Would it help to go into services and set the GBPVR service to restart after failure?

Thanks for your helpful suggestions - I'll give these a try and report back (I'm not sure that the recording service 'knows' that it's failed, so I'm not sure if it will trigger a restart).

I started to write a tool that could be run in something like PostUpdateEPG.bat to trim padding on scheduled recordings based on a list of user-defined channels.

It's on a back-burner at the moment but I'll get it finished if enough people shout at me. Big Grin

Cheers,
Brian
